Following symlinks in docroot folder

Hi,
In my GFv2 & GFv3 domain's docroot I would like to use symlinks, but it
doesn't seems to be working. Is this a known limitation? Should I create
an RFE ticket for this?

Sorry, it looks like my Google keywords failed me this time. Your
solution works like a charm both on v2 and v3.
