As of v2 of Glassfish, there is no support for AIX platform. Is there a plan to add it in future?

Yes, we plan to but don't know exactly when. We will have a proof-of- concept in September but FCS date for AIX support is not confirmed yet. We would love your participation and help in GF community...

Hi Dashgir It would be great if you could help us by testing GlassFish as a user on AIX platform. That would help us make it a quality offering.
best regards Shreedhar

Yes, dashgir can talk to Mark Basler, and in general, post questions to this alias and we should be able to respond.
AIX builds are have begun but these have not yet started out on our QE testing area yet. So consider these to be unstable builds as yet but those pass our build promotion tests. These should be good to try out with a single instance.

Hi Sandeep Most welcome to move to GlassFish env. You are also welcome to send us emails. It would however be more beneficial to share your questions/observations with the users alias as it comes with several benefits. For one, it reaches a lot more developer and user community folks than just us individuals so you have a better chance of a response. Secondly, your questions/observations/feedback will help everyone gain that knowledge as help their experience with GlassFish.
Cheers Shreedhar

Which one has high priority with respect to certification. Solaris 10 SPARC or OpenSolaris SPARC?

At the moment OpenSolaris is a project. Solaris is the OS distribution from Sun on which we certify GlassFish for both the x86 and Sparc flavors.
