Thanks Ralph, for getting the forums started.

Hello, I am the track lead for core enterprise this year. I am very excited about the "Call For Ideas" we are trying new, for 2006 JavaOne. Looking to hear your comments about the last JavaOne and suggestions for 2006.

The Core Enterprise Track is a particularly difficult one to design. Some statistics will tell the story better: It is the single largest track: 25 technical sessions and an equal number of BoFs. We received 450 proposals last year, just in this track. So, roughly 1 in 10 proposals gets the nod. We get many great proposals and it was quite hard dropping some of the good ones. Well, that is a good problem to have, I suppose..

A couple of things that may help you, if you still mulling over over what your proposal will be.

- Core Enterprise track is not just about Java EE. Any proposal on a cool application of Java in the enterprise is fair game.

- If your talk idea has a particularly strong web flavor, I recommend you try the web tier track. If you are unsure, don't worry and just submit in any track you feel is appropriate. We will put it in the right track after consulting with other track leads.
- Where do you start? http://java.sun.com/javaone/sf

Hope this helps. If you have questions, feel free to ask on this forum.
