Any plan to support the latest Spring version?

Hi,
Looks like the spring extension (https://jax-ws-commons.dev.java.net/spring/) can't work with Spring 2.5, due to that certain Spring classes have been changed. Do you plan to upgrade the spring extension to support spring 2.5 as well as the upcoming Spring 3.0 in the near future? I definitely hope to use it in my project if you could do the upgrade.
Thanks, Li

The Spring extension is a community project. Unless you or somebody else is stepping up, it won't be done.

Thanks for the reply, Fabian!
So you mean that you expect third-party contribution? Not sure if I understand you correctly.

Yes, I am saying unless a "third" party adapts the code, nobody will. Here are the instructions what it takes to contribute code: https://metro.dev.java.net/extend/

Hmm...
From my personal experience, I had *no* issues at all using the latest JAX-WS Spring extension 1.8 with any Spring 2.0.x and 2.5.x releases up to 2.5.5 (however, I have *not* tried with anything >= 2.5.6 so far).
What is the exact issue (or exception stack trace) that you are seeing? Maybe you just misinterpreted some other error to be related to "certain Spring classes" that have changed!?
Please post more details and we'll see if I can be of any help...
Best regards,
Andreas

Right, it is definitely working with Spring 2.5.

Thanks Andreas & Fabian!
I gave it a try again today. Looks like everything works fine now... I ran into problems a couple of months ago. The error might be some ClassNotFoundException, and the missing Spring class cannot be found in Spring 2.5 but only in 2.0, At that time, maybe I imported a wrong xbean version? But I'm not sure
I'll have more tests later, and will inform you guys if I any have new findings.
Your spring extension looks really neat.
Cheers, Li
