SVG (JSR 226) on phoneme CDC

Hello,
i would like to develop an SVG based application on Phoneme CDC/PBP/PP for Linux/ARM platform,
but i did not found the jsr 226 on phoneme CDC.
Please let me know if there is an open source implementation of jsr 226 or if you have a schedule about it.

Hi maclore,
Sorry, but there is no open source Linux/ARM implementation of JSR 226
that I know about. You will have to contact the JSR 226 spec. lead,
Suresh Chitturi at Nokia Corp. on when or if they plan to open source a
Linux/ARM implementation of JSR 226 from Nokia, since they control that JSR.
If on the other hand you wish to develop SVG code, you can always use
the Sun Java Wireless Toolkit for CLDC, or the NetBeans IDE.

Once you develop your JSR 226 MIDlet, you can then download and run it
on a real device, such as a Nokia N95.

So, technically, you really don't need an open source Linux/ARM
implementation of JSR 226 if you just want to develop and run JSR 226
MIDlets on an existing JSR 226-enabled cell phone.

Thanks for your response.
Unfortunately i can not use a configuration CLDC/MIDP because i have already in use an OSGi application that's run
on a device based on Linux/ARM platform whit phoneme CDC and Foundation profile.
Now on the same hardware platform as interface of OSGi application, i should add an HMI based on SVG, this should be possible
because the specifications JSR226 allow for the CDC configuration with Personal Profiles and Basic Personal Profiles.
The choice of SVG is also due to the fact that later the same HMI will be used from a PDA
or from a cell phone, at that time will be useful the SUN or NOKIA CLDC/MIDP+JSR226 implementation.
On https://phoneme.dev.java.net/content/phoneme_advanced_r2.html on Feature List i saw that JSR226 appears between the partial
implemented JSRs, this makes me optimist, but i don't know how many time will be necessary, are you able to make a valuation ?

Hi maclore,
Sorry, it is all up to Nokia on how and when they implement JSR 226 in
the open source, since they own that JSR. If you want support, I would
give support to your request to Nokia to open source a JSR 226
implementaiton on Linux/ARM. I think it's a great idea and I think a
lot of other developers would feel the same way.
Let us know if you get in touch with Nokia with this request and what
they say.
